In Visual Studio project there is an option to add a link to an external file. Sometimes there are too many links... Or you want to try to add symLink files locally to add solution to GitHub...

Unfortunate this idea is not working GitHub will convert all symLinks to a file with the path to local file... You have to create submodules.

However it remains possible to view and copy such files to the solution folder.
